SUMMARY:Author Jon Waterman visit to Colorado College - "Into the Thaw" presentation and book signing
DESCRIPTION:Pikes Peak Climate Education\, Colorado College\, and 350 Colorado are sponsoring a visit by Jon Waterman\, author of “Into the Thaw – Witnessing Wonder Amid the Arctic Climate Crisis.” Colorado College will have copies available for sale and Jon will sign copies after the presentation. \nJon Waterman’s travels to the Canadian and Alaskan Arctic Coasts\, between 1983 and 2022\, along with exquisite photography of the changing landscape\, ecosystems\, and indigenous people\, tell a captivating and alarming story unavailable to most Americans. \nIt is our hope to make his direct experience available to local citizens\, students\, and business and city/county leaders.  In turn\, we hope this will bring much needed awareness and support for climate action and policies here in the Pikes Peak Region and beyond. \nThe event will be in the Kathryn Mohrman Theatre in Armstrong Hall at Colorado College the evening the of 24 March. The event is open to the public\, free with an RSVP with donations welcome. RSVP/Donations link:  An Evening with Jon Waterman \nDoors open at 6:30 p.m. with the presentation beginning at 7:00 p.m.  There will be light refreshments\, time for questions and networking with local businesses and climate organizations. \nPPCE Waterman Flyer Full Page
